We read God's Word...

Since the Word is our lifeblood at Heartland, we begin our time together with a selected reading. We believe it serves to begin our reflection and contemplation of God's will for our lives.

Welcome to the Heartland website. Here are a few basics of what make up Heartland.

1) We are driven by two things: 1) knowing Christ and 2) making Him known. This plays out in what we preach, what we teach, how we worship, and how we communicate with each other and with those who need to know Him. We aim to have intense discipleship in getting to know Christ. We also aim to compassionately reach out to the world who need to know Christ by making Him known in our word and deed.

2) Ours is a church that is serious and intense about God's Word. We believe that the Holy Spirit works through the Word to challenge and change our lives. Because of this, our preaching ministries seek to challenge spiritual growth through His Word. Our Sunday School program is programmed to be a full discipleship course, one where the goal is complete biblical literacy. Our real aim is to reach and teach those who are serious seekers of God, transforming their lives.

We collect an offering...

This is a time for members and regular attenders to participate in the spiritual discipline of tithing. If you're a visitor to Heartland, please feel free to simply pass the plate on to the next person.

We participate in worship...

The Bible encourages us to sing to the Lord as an expression of worship. Worship is simply allowing our hearts and minds to focus on the Lord, to thank Him, and to praise Him for His goodness.

We hear from God's Word...

Our speakers preach from the Word. They make a point to go through a passage, explaning what it means and then to challenge the congregation to apply those truths to our lives.

We take a moment to respond...

We like to take some time to reflect on the teaching of God's Word at the end of the service. If you would like prayer or make a decision to accept Christ as your Savior, this time is given for you and your needs.
